Miu Miu has never been a brand to play by the rules, so when it announced its first L’Oréal-licensed fragrance, the world didn’t expect a dainty bouquet—they expected a statement. Enter Miutine, a perfume that smells like rebellion dressed in couture, and who better to lead the charge than Emma Corrin, the actor-artist who’s made bold individuality their signature.

Miu Miu’s Leap Into Beauty

This isn’t Miu Miu’s first brush with perfume—back in 2015 the brand launched its first scent, but this time it’s different. Partnering with global beauty powerhouse L’Oréal, Miu Miu is stepping into the fragrance game with sharper strategy, bolder ambition, and a clear mission: to bottle the brand’s playful defiance and send it wafting worldwide.

The name itself—Miutine—comes from the French word mutine, hinting at mutiny and mischief, the kind of rebellion that feels chic rather than chaotic.

The Scent of Rebellion

Perfumer Dominique Ropion crafted Miutine as a cheeky spin on the classic chypre. It opens with a burst of Mara des Bois strawberry—a rare, intensely aromatic berry that screams personality. Then come the florals: gardenia, jasmine, and rose, each layering depth without losing lightness. Finally, the base lands with earthy, warming notes of oakmoss, amber, patchouli, bourbon vanilla, and brown sugar.

It’s the kind of scent that plays sweet at first, then flips the table with unexpected depth—a perfect reflection of Miu Miu’s DNA.

Miu Miu knows aesthetics, and Miutine’s bottle is as iconic as the fragrance inside. Designed with the brand’s signature matelassé texture, wrapped in warm chestnut glass, and topped with a glitter-flecked cap, it’s a piece of fashion you can keep on your vanity. Like an accessory, it doesn’t just sit there—it poses.

Emma Corrin: The Face of Freedom

Emma Corrin and Miu Miu have been long-time collaborators, and this campaign feels like destiny. Known for breaking red carpet norms and redefining elegance on their own terms, Corrin brings Miutine’s free-spirited identity to life.

Shot by Hailey Benton Gates in a library setting, the campaign plays with defiance and discovery—a nod to curiosity, knowledge, and the beauty of rebellion. Corrin calls the fragrance “one for the free spirits,” and in their hands, it feels less like a product launch and more like a manifesto.

Miutine officially launches globally on August 21, 2025, with pre-orders already buzzing at Sephora. Industry insiders are calling it the it-scent of fall, a rebellious twist wrapped in couture elegance.

At the end of the day, Miutine is more than perfume—it’s a mood. It’s the strawberry-sweet smile you flash before breaking the rules, the velvet whisper of patchouli as you walk away from convention. And with Emma Corrin leading the way, Miu Miu isn’t just selling a fragrance; they’re inviting the world to rebel—elegantly.
