Saint Kylo to Represent Malaysia at Jameson Distilled Sounds 2025 Alongside Anderson .Paak

Malaysia’s vibrant indie scene is getting a major spotlight this year as Saint Kylo joins the lineup for Jameson Distilled Sounds 2025, an international creative residency helmed by Grammy Award-winning artist Anderson .Paak, in collaboration with APESHIT INC.

The Kuala Lumpur-based singer-songwriter, known for blending soul, funk, R&B, and hip-hop, was handpicked to represent Malaysia in this boundary-pushing initiative. Over the years, Saint Kylo has built a name for himself through electrifying performances at festivals like Good Vibes and RIUH, captivating audiences with his smooth vocals and genre-defying artistry.

“It’s surreal,” Saint Kylo shared. “I’m just a kid from Taman Melawati, and now I’m sharing space with artists from all over the world. This is a chance to show the world what Malaysia sounds like.”

As part of the residency, Saint Kylo will partner with Skinner, an avant-garde punk experimentalist from Ireland. Guided by Anderson .Paak, the duo will fuse soul, hip-hop, punk, and live instrumentation, creating a fresh and unexpected sonic blend that bridges Kuala Lumpur and Dublin.

“It’s gonna be some Dublin–KL magic,” Saint Kylo teased. “We’re going to push the limits of what our genres can do together.”

Jameson Distilled Sounds 2025

Jameson Distilled Sounds 2025 brings together over 20 artists from across the globe, including talents from South Africa, India, Portugal, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan. The program is not just about live shows—it’s about mentorship, cultural exchange, and creating original music that reflects diverse backgrounds.

The resulting tracks, behind-the-scenes moments, and masterclasses will be showcased throughout the summer on Jameson’s YouTube channel, offering fans a glimpse into the creative journey.

For Malaysia, Saint Kylo’s involvement is a breakthrough moment, proving that local talent can stand shoulder to shoulder with global icons. His participation could open more doors for Malaysian musicians to enter the international arena.
