What if you could step into a pineapple under the sea — no scuba gear required? Well, SpongeBob fans, dreams do come true. Amsterdam is now home to a real-life Bikini Bottom, offering an immersive adventure that’s equal parts fun, quirky, and nostalgia-packed.
Officially launched in July 2025, the Bikini Bottom experience is housed inside the WONDR Experience Amsterdam, already known for its highly Instagrammable pop-ups. This SpongeBob-themed installation is the first of its kind in Europe and has quickly become a must-see destination for fans from around the world.
A Full-On Bikini Bottom Experience
Once inside, visitors are transported into the animated universe that defined a generation. The set design is wildly accurate — think bright coral walls, oversized seashells, and every nook of Bikini Bottom recreated in dazzling detail.

The Bikini Bottom experience is a limited-time pop-up, currently expected to run until January 2026, though dates may shift depending on demand.
